"Kimberlee Maselli has written a wonderful compendium of scenes in North Carolina through the eyes of a group of formidable artists. What drew me to this book was that through the artist's view, I was able to see a whole other dimension of areas in my beloved, adoptive state, North Carolina. The book is divided into sections... seasons, mountains, coastal and plains. There is a separate final chapter about the artists who painted the various scenes in the book. As an artist myself, I was drawn to this area first to get to meet the people who created these magnificent works of art.  The discussions with each painting led me to understand what each artist saw in that particular scene.
